Self-Locking Boards for Secure Scaffolding Applications

This hook-end metal scaffold board is designed for use with ringlock and cuplock scaffolding systems. Self-locking hooks are installed at both ends to securely engage with scaffold tubes, preventing accidental displacement. This design significantly enhances safety during installation and dismantling at height.

High-Strength Alloy Hooks with Full Hot-Dip Galvanizing

 

The hooks are manufactured from high-strength low-alloy steel and formed through a cold-shaping process to ensure precise compatibility with 48.3 mm scaffold tubes. The main board is made from Q235 low-carbon steel.

The entire assembly undergoes hot-dip galvanizing for effective corrosion protection. At the connection point between the hook and the board, reinforced welding is applied. Each unit is tested for tensile strength to ensure safe suspension performance and compliance with international scaffolding safety standards.

Self-Locking Design for Safe and Efficient Operation

 

First, the hook locking system. The inner opening of the hook is 50 mm, ensuring a tight fit with 48.3 mm scaffold tubes. A gravity-activated locking block is installed at the rear of the hook. Once the board is positioned, this block automatically drops into place, securing the board firmly around the tube. This prevents displacement caused by impact or vibration, significantly reducing the risk of falls from height.

Second, the design is lightweight and easy to handle. Despite its high strength, the board weight is reduced through structural optimization, including hollow sections and perforations. A 3-meter board weighs approximately 13–15 kg, allowing a single worker to carry multiple pieces with ease.

Installation and dismantling efficiency is improved by up to 50% compared to conventional designs, helping reduce labor costs and improve overall productivity.
