Scaffold Boards – High-Corrosion Steel Planks for Chemical and Wet Environments

A Durable Platform for Highly Corrosive and Humid Sites

These steel scaffold planks are designed for environments with elevated corrosion risk, such as chemical plants, water treatment facilities, and coastal construction. Available in hook-end, holed, and step-grip types, they are compatible with standard scaffolding systems and replace traditional wood and conventional steel planks.

Constructed from high-quality Q235 low-carbon steel and enhanced with advanced hot-dip galvanizing, these planks maintain structural integrity even in harsh atmospheres containing H₂S or salt concentrations up to 500 ppm.

Q235 Steel with Thickened Hot-Dip Galvanizing

The planks are manufactured from Q235 low-carbon steel, meeting national building steel standards. The hot-dip galvanizing process applies a zinc layer exceeding 85 μm, surpassing ISO 1461 requirements. Even after installation, a minimum of 70 μm of protective zinc remains. Corrosion testing in acidic environments (pH ≤ 3) shows rust growth under 0.01 mm per year. Planks have a service life of 8–12 years under harsh chemical conditions.Hot-dip galvanizing conforms to GB/T 13912-2002 (ISO 1461), with customizable zinc thickness to meet site requirements. The double-layer construction ensures long-lasting corrosion resistance.

Chemical-Grade Design with Safety and Load Performance

The surface features 12 × 18 mm oval holes with additional 8–12 mm drainage holes spaced under 200 mm, minimizing water accumulation and reducing corrosion risk. Sand drainage holes on the underside prevent rust particle buildup. Raised grip bumps 1.5 mm high provide excellent traction, achieving a slip resistance coefficient above 0.5 even in wet or oily conditions.

Side ribs and bottom I-beams reinforce structural integrity. Each plank supports over 300 kg of evenly distributed load, sufficient for personnel and equipment in chemical plant operations.
